TECHNICAL REEQUIPMENT
The Company paid 34.6 mil. US dollars under import contracts for acquisition, overhaul and refurbishment of equip-
ment in the accounting year according to the foreign currency expediture plan.
Germany, Switzerland, USA, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain, Slovakia, Czech Republic, China and other countries are main
partners of Motor Sich JSC in the sphere of importing equipment and spare parts, as well as overhauling and upgrad-
ing equipment.
The following machines were purchased: gear production machinery Gleason, GearSpect, Senjo Seiki, five-axis ma-
chining centers HORIZON 4, PMF4, turning-milling CNC machines TRENS, automatic lathes MUPEN, special-purpose
grinding machines, complex control systems SIEMENS for machining centers and machines, coordinates measurement
systems Heidenhein and other equipment.
There were concluded contracts for purchasing high-vacuum furnaces Seco/Warwick, five-axis machining centers,
special-purpose grinding machines ESSM 500 and ZSSM 500, turning machining CNC centers and other equipment
and components.
Motor Sich JSCmarketing policy is intended for keeping traditional sales markets of our products and developing newones.
In 2013, the Company cooperated not only with permanent partners from various regions of the world, but also with
companies, partnership relations withwhichwere opened over the last years (companies fromPortugal, Papua NewGuinea,
Yemen, Niger, Ghana). Moreover, contracts for repair of engines were concluded with new customers from Indonesia,
Laos in the accounting year. Negotiations with companies fromBrazil, Mongolia, where helicopters withMotor Sich JSC en-
gines are operated, are carrying on.Motor Sich JSC promotes new kinds of products and services to the market for the pur-
pose of competitiveness maintenance. At present the Company is actively working at the project on remotorization of Mi-8
and Mi-2 helicopters with new TV3-117VMA-SBM1V engines of various series and AI-450M engines, which allows im-
proving their operating and flight performances.
Engineering center in UAE renders an important help in our representation at Africa and Middle East markets. Taking into
account the second priority opened in 2012, Engineering center makes it possible not only to maintain and repair engines
for helicopters, but also to carry out remotorization of already operated Mi-8 helicopters with installation of new modern
TV3-117VMA-SBM1V engines of various series, which provide engine power support at high ambient temperature val-
ues and flight altitude, which makes it possible of effective use under the conditions of hot climate and highland.
